Bath Bombs make affordable gifts!



Save money and create your own luxurious bath bombs. These bath bombs are so easy to make and you will be an expert in no time. Bath bombs are a safe way to enjoy essential oils in the bath that also benefit your skin and muscles.

When you combine Baking Soda (Bicarbonate of Soda) and Citric acid and then put them into water they create a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide.

Most of the ingredients you will require can be found in your kitchen already

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bicarbonate Soda

  • 1/2 cup Citric Acid

  • 1/2 cup Epsom Salts

  • 1/2 cup Corn Flour

  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons Coconut oil (Melted)

  • 1 Tablespoon Water

  • 1 teaspoon Mica Powder (optional)

  • 10 drops of Essential Oils

  • Dried Botanicals (Optional)

  • Silicone Moulds


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine corn starch, citric acid, epsom salt, baking soda and mica powder (optional). Whisk to incorporate completely.

  2. In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together coconut oil, essential oils, and water.

  3. Very slowly add the oil mixture to the dry ingredients. Pouring slowly helps make sure the mixture fizzes as little as possible. Mix together until it resembles wet sand and everything in fully incorporated.

  4. Push the mixture into your silicone moulds or mould the bath bombs into your desired shape and size

  5. Allow the bath bombs to dry for at least 24 hours.

  6. Store bath bombs in an airtight container or wrap in paper.

  7. To use the bath bomb, simply drop it in water and watch it fizz and dissolve.


Try out one of the following Essential Oil blends or mix your own blend.

RELAX

  • 4 drops Myrrh

  • 3 drops Roman Chamomile

  • 2 drops Sweet Orange

  • 1 drop Bergamot

SLEEP

  • 3 drops Roman Chamomile

  • 4 drops Lavender

  • 3 drops Sweet Orange

ZEN

  • 4 drops Lavender

  • 4 drops Lemon

  • 2 drops Peppermint

Don't forget, all Essential Oils are not the same. make sure you only buy therapeutic grade Essential oils that are steam extracted (not extracted using alcohol).
